"D'azur au chevron d'or accompagné de trois étoiles du même"
(Blue with a gold chevron accompanied by three gold stars)

The origin of the name Pilon seems to come from the south of France, in the Causses mountain area near Montauban. The Romans called their heavy javelin "pilum". In the 1600's, several Pilou, Pillon's were enobled, the basis for nobility being military valor. The Normandy Coats of Arms are:

Pilou - Blue, with three Pilons of gold
Pillon - Gold, with blue, with three spurs
Pillon - Blue, stripe of gold with three stars
